The University of Marathon is known for its highly internationalized characteristics. Among the current 16,000 students, the proportion of international students accounts for 52% of the school’s total number. The proportion of overseas teachers among the faculty and staff also accounts for 30%, which will eventually become the Dutch internationalization degree. The highest university, most of the master's courses in this school are taught in English. The School of Economics (SBE) affiliated to the University of Malaysia is one of the best business schools in the Netherlands and even in Europe. It has obtained three world-class certifications: EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. Only 1% of business schools in the world have these three crown certifications. .
In the 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the University of Marathon ranked 128th in the world and 36th in Europe. In the "Young Universities Under 50 Years" published by The Times Higher Education (THE), University of Malaysia ranked 10th in the world. The school's law, medicine, anatomy and physiology, psychology and other majors have consistently ranked among the top 60 in the world throughout the year. Artificial intelligence and linguistics are also well-known.
